The local media industry is dynamic and highly competitive. The publications are published mainly in Korean and often provide English websites while they cover local and international news.

There are nearly 140 dailies, consisting of general, business and foreign language dailies, with 61 dailies based in Seoul alone. ZDnet Korea is an on-line IT magazine, published by CNET Korea in partnership with global IT news online media, ZDNet.
