As the general manager, Shingo Nomura is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Hoffman Japan. A veteran with 14 years of experience in the industry, Shingo brings to Hoffman Japan his extensive knowledge in integrated marcom/PR communications for the consumer electronics, IT and pharmaceuticals industries. His duties include business development and providing strategic counsel to clients and the account services team.

Since he joined Hoffman Japan in 2002, he has provided strategic counsel to meet clients’ various communications needs – from thought leadership programs, to B-to-C public consumer events and B-to-B seminars/exhibitions, technology evangelizing programs, crisis communication handling and corporate identity programs.

Prior to joining Hoffman Japan, Shingo worked with PRAP Japan for four years. During his tenure, he established the IT practice for the agency and grew the division’s business by three-fold. As an account manager, Shingo was responsible for providing strategic counsel and developing communications strategies for several key accounts such as Dell, TI, SAS Institute, Network Associates and Adobe Systems. Shingo began his career in marcom/PR with Weber Shandwick Worldwide where he worked on a number of high-tech and pharmaceutical accounts. He was part of the team that implemented the highly successful “Intel inside” branding campaign in Japan, and was responsible for strengthening media relations with target publications for Intel.

A graduate from Chuo University in Tokyo, Shingo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and is fluent in both Japanese and English.
