As
director of client services for Greater China, Lynn
Furrow’s charter is to oversee strategic planning and
direction for key clients in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as well
as to drive business development and marketing in these markets.
With 10 years of Asia PR experience, Furrow previously served as
Hoffman China’s general manager.
During her
tenure with The Hoffman Agency, she has serviced a wide-range of
technology companies such as 3Com, Atheros Communications, CNBC,
Chiron, Dolby, GlobespanVirata, Motorola PCS, Proxim, Texas Instruments,
Xilinx and Zarlink.
Prior to joining
the Agency, she was an associate director with Shandwick Hong Kong’s
Corporate and Public Affairs Practice and previously served Shandwick
Beijing’s office. During this time she executed communications
strategies, and managed local and regional programs for clients
such as Northwest Airlines, Bass Brewers, Walt Disney Television
and Chrysler, throughout Asia. In China she also managed multi-national
accounts and orchestrated projects in cities throughout the country
including Dalian, Tianjin, Changchun, Qingdao, Shanghai, Suzhou,
Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
Furrow graduated from Colby College in Maine with a bachelor of
arts degree in East Asian studies. Through 16 years in Greater China
and her Chinese heritage, Furrow has a strong understanding of the
culture and is proficient in Mandarin. She also studied Mandarin
in Beijing and Taiwan, and conducted research at the University
of Edinburgh on a post-graduate scholarship to study Chinese history.
