The Hoffman Agency
Appoints Senior Executive
The Hoffman Agency, an
international PR company focused on technology markets, announced
today that Lynn Furrow has been promoted to director of client services,
Greater China. Furrow,
who had been leading the company's Hong Kong and Taiwan accounts
as an account director, now will oversee client services and business
for China. She will retain her current duties.
Furrow has more than
seven years of public relations experience in the region, having
worked on the consultancy side in both Beijing and Hong Kong. Her
promotion comes at a time when the company has seen a growth in
the demand for accounts conducted on a regional basis. Hoffman,
recent winner of PRWeek Asia's 2001 "Asian Network of the
Year" award, specializes in a one-point-of-contact model that leverages
a hub to provide clients with consistent messaging and uniform results
reporting across multiple Asian markets.
Michelle Herman, Hoffman's
managing director of Asia Pacific, said, "Lynn's Greater China background,
coupled with her ability to strategically drive large regional accounts
beyond Hong Kong, makes her the perfect fit for this new role."
Part of Furrow's new
assignment will be to collaborate with Theresa Shen, Hoffman China
general manager, who is based in Beijing. "Lynn has been a great
contributor to the team," said Shen. "With China's WTO entry, we
will leverage her expertise to help us take advantage of the tremendous
client opportunities."
During her Hoffman tenure,
Furrow has led the pursuit of clients in the networking and telecommunications
space where much of the region's Internet infrastructure is still
being built. Wins include 3Com, Riverstone Networks and semiconductor
manufacturers that supply chips and software for networking and
telecommunications products, like Virata Corporation.
Prior to joining The
Hoffman Agency, Furrow was an associate director with the corporate
and public affairs practice of Shandwick International Hong Kong.
She was responsible for managing several regional clients as well
as implementing local communications programs.
