Peerless Players Join Hands For PR

The organizer of China Computerworld Expo’99 recently announced that The Hoffman Agency will be the show’s designated PR service provider. This is the first time the trade show has cooperated with PR agencies in its seven-year history.

The Hoffman Agency is a PR agency focused on the high-tech industry and headquartered in the Silicon Valley - the global high-tech industry center. Founded in 1987, it has become the fourth-largest PR agency in the Silicon Valley. With the United States and Asia Pacific as points of focus, Hoffman provides different markets with comprehensive, diverse and localized high-tech PR consulting and services. Hoffman has offices in the United States, China, Hong Kong and Japan. It also has long-term partnerships with ERA, in Taiwan, and InComm, in Korea. Among Hoffman’s clients are HP, Quantum, National Semiconductor and other well-known high-tech companies.

David Chen, president of HK Info Expo World Corporation and the show’s co-organizer, expressed hopes to maximize the effect of the largest high-tech trade show in China through Hoffman’s professional PR experience and localized services.

The Hoffman Agency began PR implementation in China two years ago and there has been no lack of performance highlights. For example, in December 1997, the company organized the Beijing press conference to announce the establishement of HP’s Electronic Business Software Organization. In January 1998, Hoffman assisted HP Information Storage Organization in conducting a customer perception survey. In May 1998, the company arranged media activities for the U.S. high-tech delegation to China led by the Department of Commerce. In 1999, the company reseached and consulted about the COMDEX China 1999 keynote speech by Brian O’Hara, CEO of National Semiconductor.
